Canon John Chapman (‘Chappo’) was one of the great evangelists of his generation with a decades long global ministry introducing people to Jesus. He was a great preacher of God’s word, an encourager to generations of Christian leaders and a gifted author. He passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012.
John was a good friend to St Mark’s Pennant Hills and in the last few years alone has spoken for us at numerous different events. While filming a promo for a day conference we once took the opportunity to interview him. God used ‘Chappo’ to introduce countless people to Christ; we thought as a tribute we would share a clip of him talking about he himself came to Christ.
His clarity in communication, humour, kindness and wisdom will be greatly missed by many.
