During October each year the Forge crew head away for our annual youth camp, Yak@Mac. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, this is not something we’re going to be able to do this year.
In its place, we’re going to be hosting Yak@Penno. We’re aiming to provide the crew with a day-camp experience here on-site that will be filled with fun and laughter, while also engaging with Jesus as he is revealed to us in the Bible.
Yak@Penno will be run over 3 sessions. Youth can come to 1, 2 or all 3, and they can invite a mate to do the same!
Yak@Penno will begin on Friday night, October 16th (from 7pm-9pm), where the Forge crew will get together like we usually do – but with a twist. We’ll kick off with the first of our 3 sessions in Thessalonians & a challenging scavenger hunt.
Everyone will head home to sleep, and we’ll meet back at St Mark’s on Saturday morning at 10am for our next session (10am-1pm). On Saturday morning we’ll be encouraged to stand firm and hold fast as Christians, plus we’ll be having an epic indoor putt putt session before pizza for lunch.
After lunch, we’ll get into our final session (1pm-4pm) – a series of amazing race challenges together before we have our final session for the day.
The youth leaders are excited about spending some extra time with the Forge crew – getting stuck into the Bible & having a blast. We’re sad we can’t head away for the weekend, but we’re committed to making the most of this time.
